The Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract has supported patients age 18+ with life-limiting illnesses since 1989. Our Incare unit, Day Therapy suite, Family Support Team, Complimentary therapies & Lymphoedema clinic helps improve the quality of life for patients & their families with practical, financial, emotional & spiritual support. Our care is free but costs £7,788 a day, with only 25% funded by the NHS. Fundraising by local people & the business community is vital to keep the Hospice open & allowing us to provide the standard of care we pride ourselves on.

Tracey Mearns, Partnership Development Co-ordinator (Corporate Fundraiser) at The Prince of Wales Hospice since Aug 2014. As Partnership Development Coordinator my role is to build partnerships with companies to raise awareness of the essential services & support the Hospice provides whilst raising vital funds to keep it open. Previous roles include Account Manager in Education Sector, business owner and Marketing Manager.
